The Benefit Of Introducing Affirmation In Young Children

When a child feels bad about the unfavorable situations coming into their life, they become negatively motivated. Instead of thinking what they can do about it, they choose to feel depressed and end up building more negative circumstances without knowing it. Focusing on the positive becomes even more critical whenever feelings of frustrations, sadness, and anger are trying to dominate.

Introducing positive affirmations to a child as though they are terrific and wealthy, can help start inviting positive energy to flow. Often, people tend to overlook the importance of positive declarations. Many do not understand how repeating these affirmations all day and every day can change their lives. Setting the mind with positive affirmations can bring positive results. How a child thinks is how they respond to life. If they start feeding their thoughts with negative affirmations and begin feeling gloomy, negative patterns and actions will follow. Declaring positive statements can smash them and eventually change their views. Using positive affirmations can remove ‘bad luck’ from life. Remember, people can and do recover from depression and go on to lead their best lives.

How do affirmations work?
Any thought we think of, that shoots through our heads, as well as every word we utter, is an affirmation. Too often, we unconsciously use negative beliefs, words, and assertions, but we do not realize how these beliefs influence our lives. It is we who determine how our thoughts will be. When you say that kind of affirmation for the first time, nothing happens, but over time you start repeating it, you put more and more energy in it, it grows. This applies to both negative and positive considerations. Affirmations are like seeds that you plant into the earth – and your subconscious mind gradually perceives them.

As with plants, the thought needs some time to grow up in full beauty. The more you repeat the affirmation, the faster it will grow. It is also necessary that you trust in such a declaration, if there is no trust, it probably will not work. Be sure your affirmations contains claims that are positive, that you can believe in, and that you agree with. Affirming also requires a lot of patience, practice and it takes time for it to work and for the changes to happen.

Positive affirmations help you bring something new and better into your life, and gets rid of what is not satisfying in your life. The purpose of creating and using affirmations is to create a better life. Such affirmations should by no means be perceived as a kind of punishment or inconvenience. It is a good idea to talk to your children about using affirmations, so they understand what they are for and how they work. Keep it fun and encouraging. Affirmations teach you new and positive ways of thinking. They can help you believe in yourself, feel happy and help you to feel better when you are angry or sad. These are a few things to take note of when teaching them to your child.

Helpful tips in teaching your children how and when to say their affirmations.
1) Ensure your child repeats their affirmations silently with their eyes closed and with strong and sincere emotion. Their attitude and emotional intensity will subconsciously place their affirmations on a priority status.

2) Your child’s affirmations must be positive, short and stated in the present tense. Remember the subconscious is the bottom line. If their affirmations are too long, wordy, or negatively stated, it may create some confusion and forfeit their outcome – so cut to the chase.

3) Sleep is the best time for your child to repeat their affirmations. Their final thoughts before sleeping will be filed away at a deep subconscious level creating stronger lasting impressions and speedier results.

It’s important to remember that your child’s self-esteem is their subconscious résumé describing who they think they are, their limits and a myriad of other beliefs. As parents, we can help our children to utilize affirmations for making significant shifts in how they see themselves. The repetition of saying these affirmations help to reinforce the new habits or behaviors you would want them to adopt.
